The Center for Creative Connections is a family-focused gallery that invites visitors to explore a series of hands-on activities paired with relevant reproductions of works found throughout the museum with the goal of providing guests with new ways to connect with the museum’s collection. As Quatrefoil Associates’ senior designer on the project, I helped the client shape their ideas for the gallery into a highly engaging and unique experience. As the project moved towards the fabrication phase, I drew on my many years of experience in the creation of landscape dioramas to lead the detailed design and fabrication of the “Compose a Landscape” activity which involved a range of traditional and digital fabrication techniques.
